- Email address — used for account creation and authentication
- Resume content — text extracted from documents you upload, used solely to provide AI-powered analysis
- Usage data — number of daily AI requests, used to enforce free tier limits
- Chat session data — conversation history stored for Pro users who have history enabled
How We Use Your Information
- To authenticate your account and provide access to the app
- To power AI analysis of your resume using the Anthropic Claude API
- To enforce daily usage limits for free tier users
- To store and retrieve your chat history (Pro users only)
- To send account-related emails (verification, password reset)
Data Storage
Your data is stored using the following services:
- Firebase Authentication — stores your email and login credentials securely
- Firebase Firestore — stores resume text, usage counts, and chat sessions
- Firebase Storage — temporarily stores uploaded resume files for parsing
All Firebase services are operated by Google LLC and comply with GDPR and other applicable privacy regulations.
Third-Party Services
ResumeLab AI uses the following third-party services to operate:
- Anthropic Claude API — processes your resume and chat messages to generate AI responses. Your content is sent to Anthropic's servers for processing. Anthropic's privacy policy applies to this processing.
- Firebase (Google LLC) — handles authentication, database, and file storage.
- Razorpay — processes subscription payments for Pro plan users. Payment details are handled entirely by Razorpay and are never stored by ResumeLab AI.
Data Retention
- Account data is retained for as long as your account is active
- Resume files uploaded to Firebase Storage are used for parsing and may be retained temporarily
- Free tier users' resume text is session-only and not persisted beyond the current app session
- Pro users' resume text and chat history are retained until account deletion is requested
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request deletion of your account and all associated data
- Opt out of non-essential data collection

Children's Privacy
ResumeLab AI is intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.
